The Intro to the Best Engagement Ever Story:

I wanted to ask my wife to marry me and I wanted it to be a day that she would never, ever forget. Our favorite movie is "10 Things I hate About You". Our favorite scene in the move is when the guy makes a complete fool of himself, at a football stadium, while singing "Your Just to Good to Be True," (Watch this scene from the movie in case you forget) in front of all her friends to show her how much he loves her with a marching band to accompany him. Every time we saw watched this scene my wife would always say, "That reminds me of something you would do." That always stuck in my head because that is exactly what I would do, and in fact I did it, to a tee.

The trick was to get my soon to be wife to a football stadium without her having any clue what was going on. So logically I decided to through myself a surprise birthday, which is very difficult. I called up my best friends and gave them a list of people to call and invite to my surprise birthday party. They called everyone and told them to meet August 2, 2003 at 10:30 for my surprise birthday party at Ursinus College. They told everyone that the reason it was at Ursinus was because Joe's Dad, is having an inflatable rock climbing wall set up there. My Dad does corporate teambuilding and at the time we actually own our very own 28 foot tall inflatable rock climbing wall.

The best part about the whole thing was that my best friends called up my soon to be wife and asked her to be the one to take me to my surprise birthday party. She agreed and was so excited that she would be the one to bring me there.

August 2, 2003 I get up and my soon to be wife blind folds me and takes me in the car to Ursinus College. Once we get out of the car my Dad runs up and blind fold my soon to be wife, and I take my blind fold of and go get ready for the big show.

Now you are ready to watch the video which starts with us coming down the track of Ursinus College blind fold and ready to go. It was definitely a day that she would never, ever forget. Enjoy!!!

Check out the photos or watch the video below.

I love this kind of stuff. In fact me and my wife are Photograhpers!
